Tilehurst is a suburb of Reading characterised by Victorian Terraced housing built in the early 1900s. It extends from Reading town centre to Calcot and is bordered by the A4 to the South and the Oxford Road to the North. Reading football club stadium, Elm Park, was located in Tilehurst until the new Madeski Stadium was opened in 1998.

Tilehurst has a range of housing from flats and terraces to larger homes on the outskirts of the town border. Prospect Park, one of the largest parks in Reading, is located in Tilehurst and is popular among walkers, cyclists and hosts many football matches at the weekend. Tilehurst Railway Station is located on the Oxford road and is on the main Reading to Oxford line.
